I am a mild mechanic, but have a ton of support capability including a spare bedroom for 2, nice accomodations and access to a good Mexican resturant down the street. Kai, the best unimog mechanic in the world is less than 2 miles from my house. There is plenty of concrete driveway space and a lockable, gated area for security. Chile

Respect the message mailed by Peter Hoare in Japan, I want to offer him and everybody in the list a Safe Heaven also in South America, I have a lot of space, complete workshop with: welding, press, lathe, fork lift, etc, etc. I can recommend also beautiful places to visit while in Chile and Argentina, I want to invite all Moggers to visit my country, yes I know, is expensive to get here with a Mog, we are far from everything but you would be impressed with all what we have here, amazing places and friendly people.
Kind regards from Chile

New York

If you ever find yourself in New York State between Buffalo and Syracuse (South to the PA line), and in need of assistance, then you can count me in as a Safe Haven too. No real Mog experience but facilities, storage and the ability to tow 10,000 lbs in a heartbeat:) I would treasure the opportunity to lend a helping hand and possibly get some Mog experience seeing as I'm 2500 miles from most of the events (Moab, Rubicon, etc...).

Norway

I am in Norway in Oppdal 100 Km south of Trondheim and 14 Km west of Oppdal. I own an old power station which can be used for camping and working. Inside is a 15 metric ton overhead crane. I have enough tools for major work and access to any thing else. As for welders I am able to get a "MiG" :), stick and gas outfits. I speak English, Norsk some French and German. The telephone is available as is E-post if people are in
trouble I can also go and tow the vehicle for them. One good thing is I
can get cheaper fuel " coloured diesel it's not red any more" but we won't
tell the tax people. Plus if people contact me while planning there trip I
can help then save money on there travels in Norge.
We have had many Unimogs visit on there way to Nord Kapp mostly German Mog 404's,406 and a lot of 1300,s. We own the river too so fishing is free around the Kraftstation.

Even though I do not own a mog and/or Pinzgauer - yet - and I don't have a tool shop, etc., I will gladly offer my B & B and it's facilities for the Safe Haven program. Well I don't have any mog experiance but I would like to offer our ranch as a place to stop. We're at 2999 Speaker Rd., just north of Wolf Creek, Oregon. We have about half the tools known to man and some we made our selves. We don't have a hoist but we do have an 44,000 lbs excavator and a pile of chain. We also don't have an engine puller but we do have a 7 ton fork lift. We have plenty of room in the yard and plenty of terain to test any fixes on.

I applaud the safe haven concept and offer our farm as one as well. We do not have many of the amenities that others might (heated, well-lit shop with hoists, etc) but "any port in a storm" sounds nice to me. We are not short on room and a stranded truck could remain for quite a while before it would get in the way. We became an Oregon Century Farm in 1994 and I jokingly tell Emilie that it means her family has been collecting old farm equipment for better than one hundred years. This port will remain open even in fair weather (which is saying a lot for rainy Oregon). Perhaps Ron DePugh has some way of denoting the safe haven status on the Unimog/Pinzgauer owners lists. Take care.

Wyoming

We're located on Wyoming HWY 210, half way between Cheyenne and Laramie. 210 parallels I-80, so we're not out of the way for anyone travelling east - west across country. For north-south travelers on I-25, we're just 22 miles west of Cheyenne. Since we're a Bed and Breakfast, we're all set up to accomodate guests, and our indoor arena is big enough to pull any size mog into for working on out of the weather. Somewhere on the Road Wherever We Meet

I wish I could offer you a safe haven in Holland but plans make it
impossible to say where I will be at the end of this year. Within 5 months I
will leave for South Africa and will stay there for at least 3 months. We
are going to try to set up a low budget touring company in the Mpumalanga
area driving a Unimog 404 game drive vehicle (rebuilded Pritsche). If this
works out you will be very happy to visit us even if you don't break down
;-) If things don't work out I will probably start traveling a lot around
the world and may meet you one time or the other.
