Moose here for now.

The moose start coming out more during mud season. I haven't seen many near the roads in late ski season.

You could try 13 Mile Woods, which is on NH route 16 north of Berlin.

Also NH route 3 north of the village of Pittsburg.

Mud season through autumn is better for finding moose to see though.

At dusk and later with a spotlight. Don't shine it in their eyes. I place mine just in front of them pointed at the ground. They will often use that just as we would a flashlight. Then you can watch them in the stray light from the beam.
